Emily F. Epstein specializes in teaching people how to negotiate for more value, manage difficult conversations, and facilitate challenging discussions. As the founder and CEO of Oakbay Consulting, she focuses on helping clients influence others, break through impasse, collaborate across functions, and build stronger relationships. Ms. Epstein has been invited by organizations on four continents to help them overcome protracted challenges, from boosting the profitability of a Fortune 500 company to reducing the global use of child soldiers.

Ms. Epstein is currently a lecturer of law at the University of California at Berkeley School of Law and a senior instructor at Harvard’s Professional Development Programs. In the past, she has served as associate faculty at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation and adjunct faculty at the Georgetown University Law Center. Ms. Epstein earned her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. Her amicus brief on negotiation techniques was cited by the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.  

The services Ms. Epstein offers include training, facilitation, and individual coaching. She has worked with a wide range of public and private sectors, including tech, entertainment, marketing, financial services, scientific research, biotech, law, education, insurance, health services, construction, and real estate. Over the last twenty years, she has delivered hundreds of trainings throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Representative clients include Apple, Autodesk, Air France-KLM, Morrison & Foerster, Nissan, iRobot, Bank of America, California State Parks, and the American Diabetes Association. Emily Epstein's speaking engagements include Facebook, the Pulse Conference for Customer Success Professionals, the Wahine Forum for Women Business Leaders, the Leadership Academy for Female Law Partners, Harvard Law School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and KNBR Radio.
