Ryan Thompson

Ryan Thompson has spent the last 15 years working with individuals and organizations to improve their negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ryan has worked with public and private sector clients in financial services, health care, mining, law, and manufacturing across North America, Europe and Asia. Clients include the BMO Financial Group, AstraZeneca, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. 

Before entering the field of negotiation, Ryan worked for six years as an environmental consultant, first with the Cadmus Group and then with Intrinsik Environmental Sciences. From this perspective, he brings insights from working with private and public sector clients and environmental groups solving complex problems that demand innovative, multidisciplinary thinking.  

Ryan has a Master in Conflict Studies from St. Paul University in Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario in Environment and Resources Management. Studies for his master's degree focused on labor and management relations and the influence that gender and culture have on the negotiation process.
